A few glasses of wine, or a couple of bottles of beer are very relaxing - even if they are non-alcoholic.

Can anyone tell me why drinking non-alcholic beer / wine is more relaxing than drinking (for example) tea or cola?

Tea & Cola contain caffeine, non-alcoholic beer doesn't.

Just an attitude of mind. You associate beer or wine with relaxation and wellbeing. At a party you might even get quite merry on them too!!
