I always make my own yorks puds and its just a thinner batter i think, but I never know what to put inside to make them taste nicer. I havnt got a sweet tooth. Can you make them savoury ?
You can have ham and cheese.
Of course you can TOH That's the beauty of them. You can put what you like on them. They haven't got much taste in themselves so you can add whatever you want.
ham and cheese sounds lovely.

2 eggs, 1lb flour and 1 pint milk if memory serves me.
I have got a pot of really nice french strawberry jam.

Lovely

Im mainly a veggie, although I do eat a bit of chicken if pushed. Can you fill them with just cheese and onion etc ?
Yes I love pancakes. I'm going to have a nice sweet one with cherry pie filling for breakfast..... lovely.
I'd go for a reasonably strong cheese and finnely chopped onion.

Thanks albaqwerty and everyone. Might try that

Have a good pancake day everyone
Im having some later. I might do some kind of savoury pancakes for tea rather than a sweet dessert/breakfast type of pancake.

simple for me.....loads of lemon
Chocolate pancakes, cherries in amaretto sauce and cream....
plain with lemon and sugar or maple syrup for the purists
"Chocolate pancakes, cherries in amaretto sauce and cream.... "

I think I've put on a couple of pounds just reading that !!
At The Pancake House in London I once had a pancake with chilli con carne filling!
That's a Burrito, Crafty, lol
Rashers of bacon laid on the top and drizzle with maple syrup...
Damn !
You're all making me very, very hungry !
I won't be home until about 6.30, before I can even start to make any pancakes.

I am chief pancake chef in our house.
"What a Salads Chef you are !", as my wife says. I think she's joking....
Looks like Ed has changed a word there.
I meant one who flings pancakes up in the traditional manner; i.e. one who tosses
