They say the Cox apple is losing it's appeal amongst apple eaters, do you agree?
While still retaining it's great tangy taste the only problem is that it is only being grown to a certain uniform size for the supermarkets, so now they are far too small.
The apple I now prefer is the Jonagold , a good size apple with a superb taste, and the added bonus is that they are only a fraction of the cost of other apples in my local supermarket, and they retain their availability and price throughout the year.

With the suggested size, this would have meant that the sale of Coxs would have become illegal. Fortunately, the UK representative handed out Coxs to all the delegates. Once they'd tasted them, and were told that this was the size they grew to, they changed their minds over the proposed regulation. Thank goodness!
