I was reading on the net yesterday that Halal butchers are much cheaper than supermarkets or non Halal butchers.
Anyone shop in a Halal butchers?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.for the vegie - I don't particularly like the taste or texture of most meat and fatty meat is nicest btu i try to be healthy, plus it's expensive and I'll be a student soon in crippling debt so i won't be able to affrod meat and even i could jsut about i wouldn't buy 'value' stuff as I prefer the ethics of free range and all that jazz.
for the ethics of halal - they kill the animals by slitting their throats and it's against the religion to stun them etc so they don't feel pain. If you're going to kill something, why do it in a way that causes so much pain when there are better ways to do it - it's madness.

jack i live at home wih my parents so it's difficult but as soon as I leave home i will be. if I could my own food (most of the time TBH) or go out for a meal I almost always pick a veggie option.
But if i'm cooking it's usually for mum aswell who wants meat, but she'll get more than me and Inever cook red meat - yuck.
