What do you keep your recipies in?

I have an old red book...which i treasure as its handwritten by my aunt...but id love something different?

Obviously im just thinking a fancy notepad...and yes over years it will probs get messy but so what....

Was just wondering if anyone kept a nice folder or something xx

My aunt didnt properley record how to make her amazing florence cake!

When she died my gran and i managed between us to peice together how she done it!! So it just shows you xx

It was rather sweeter than meths, if I recall correctly.

However Banda copies weren't the biggest problem I had while teaching.

We had contractors in to lay tiles in a totally enclosed area (with no real ventilation) where 4 main corridors of the school met together. The staff had to take it in turns (to avoid getting too 'high' ourselves) to keep moving on the kids who were determined to loiter there to, erm, how shall I put it?, "soak up the atmosphere"

Do you also remember the white paste glue in tubs with a little spatula that smelt like almond paste? can't remember the name now. We used that in the office in the 60s and everyone got quite high on it !!!! No need for Purple Hearts ;-)

No its not Copydex - OH has just suggested that. It was a very stiff white paste which you spread on the paper like wallpaper paste. Grrr wish I could remember the name - its on the tip of my tongue (the brand name not the glue :) )

A bit of googling suggests that the product would have been described as 'stamp glue' (which usually contains almond essence), but I can't help with a brand name. Sorry :(

Tried Google and Ebay but no luck with the name of the glue. I know it was eventually taken off the market due to glue-sniffing. I will post it tomorrow as a question when more people are on AB. I do the same as Buenchico at 00.13, and after 50 plus years of cooking it seems to work. I can't remember the last time I actually looked at a recipe and I have a cupboard full of cookery books, including Mrs Beaton.

I have a recipe book that came with a Gas Cooker that my grandmother had back in the 40's I think!!! I shows a picture of a lovely gas cooker a bit like this
