Hi, I had a day trip yesterday and enjoyed Apple crumble (no oats) and custard and sausage & mash with gravy and garden peas.It was delicious. Anyone got tried and tested recipes they could share please. I would be very grateful.
It's been a few years since I made crumble...made it a lot when I was working. But I never liked it fine and "sandy". I liked larger chunks of crumble...which often had some muscovado sugar instead of golden or caster sugar. I didn't flatten it or press it down too much either. It always came out very crispy.
