I am looking for a bit of inspiration for some kids food for Halloween. I plan to do Eyeballs in Blood (meatballs in goulash/tomato sauce!)
Has anyone got any other ideas? - either deserts or savoury.

What about putting scary sweets llike worms and spiders into green jelly? You can probably buy Halloween sweets in the shapes of bats and things too.

Can I come? It sounds like so much fun!
To be honest this website looks pretty rubbish and not very kid oriented but it might give you some ideas.

Last year when we did a kids halloween party, we did the idea of spiders in green jelly which the kids love. Another popular one was hot dog sausages cut in half with the cut end dipped in tomato sauce ( for blood!). You can use liquorice laces laid out like a spiders web on a plate and put jelly spider sweets on as well. How about making chocolate buns, taking them out of the papaer when cooked and cooled. Then put them on a plate upside down and use black laces cut into shorter lengths and used as spiders legs stuck around the sides of the buns. You can use mini marshmellows for the eyes!

Thanks for the website links. Unfortunately though I have seen a number of these when doing my own internet search.
Does anyone have any of their own recipe ideas please and preferably for main courses as opposed to sweets?
asda and some other supermarkets produce their own magazine each month, given away free, and they usually have loads of recipes for things like halloween, christmas, bonfire night, summer bbqs, etc., and a lot of them are aimed at children. might be worth popping in and grabbing one.
Chipolata sausages which are joined together with their skin in a tomato passata will look like guts, freshly spilt from a slashers victim.

Make a milk jelly in a rubber gloves and then gently peel the gloves away you will have severed hands fresh from a monsters catch. (have to freeze first, fridges will be too sloppy)

Can one of you guys tell me how to remove my posts please? I made them in error.

If not, will several of you report them so they will be deleted please?

Thank you in advance for your help. I will appreciate anything you can do for me.

What is wrong with your posts BBWCHATT?
Witch's Hair - spaghetti made black with squid ink (you don't realy taste it!) which you can buy from delis and some larger supermarket. Homemade Pizzas can be decorated/shaped however you want (monster faces etc) and will always go down well with kids (plus you can get some peppers/onions/other veg on there and they won't notice!) Failing that there's always Steak Tatare..............
Oooooh and "Slime Soup" which is just pea soup with "Skin Flakes" (parmesan) or variations on the theme i.e. "Blood Soup" (Tomato) or even.....dare I be this gross?........"Pus" (Chicken or Leek & Potato) I know, I went too far! ;)
get some liquorice and cut it into slug shapes..coat them with colourless gelatine to det the slimy effect
Make up a green or red jelly at pour into a clean rubber glove. Tie up securely a put in freezer. Just before food in served take from freezer a cut away glove a place hand on plate and decorate however you wish. I did lots of things like this when we had H parties. I`ll try to remember some more if I can
