Hi

Could anyone give me a quick and easy recipe to make chocolate cornflake cake things, is it really as easy as pouring mealted chocolate on to cornflakes or should I add butter?

Thanks

Hi Blue

You do need butter and golden syrup as well as chocolate and cornflakes. Here's Nigel's Slater's recipe:-

You could also substitute Rice Krispies (or even Coco Pops) for the cornflakes, but do try to use a quality chocolate if you can.
They are really good made with Fruit & Fibre as well - a more grown-up version! You can just use chocolate!
I have often made them with just chocolate.
The chocolate is better when it is heated in a bowl placed on a pan of hot water.
Yep, I just use chocolate. Sometimes I chuck a few raisins in as well.

Mmmmm. I'm going to make them tonight now.
You can use melted mars bar to make them but if you do you will need a small amount of butter, otherwise the mixture will be a little too stiff to mix - delicious all the same.

You can also add marshmallows to the chocolate to make them more chewy if you like.
