Recipe fom NE England
Can anyone tell me how to make, I think it's called PANACULTY but I may have spelt it incorrectly. I believe it contains onions and potatoes and originates from Geordieland.

4oz cheddar cheese grated
1lb thinly sliced potatoes
2 medium onions thinly sliced
1oz butter
1tbsp vegetable oil
salt/pepper
Melt butter/oil in large frying pan, remove from heat,layer up tatties and onions,and grated cheese,keeping back some of the grated cheese,season with salt and pepper,cover and cook gently,for about 30minutes or until cooked,pre heat grill 5mins before end of cooking time,sprinkle over remaining cheese until bubbling,serve straight from the pan bon appetite!!!
