that use dried red chili in the ingredients, but without cheese. ive had a quick google but they all want some sort of 'corn' in them and im not really sure what that is.

It might be ground corn (cornmeal NOT cornflour) or maize flour.. Personally, I quite like a bit of chilli powder (or even smoked paprika) in savoury scones.

The cheese scone recipe is a very very old one.. well tried and tested and I've never had a failure from it.... (original was from the early 1970's lol). Catch you soon, Pud xxx
