BF Beta imminent!

The website went live (bf3beta.battlefield.com) but was then taken down.

Rumours are that an announcement is imminent with the clever money on next week for the beta.

Its on all formats. Not sure how you get on but you will be able to pick up a key from somewhere. Medal of Honor Limited Ed buyers get the beta 48hrs ahead of the rest of us.

Beta goes live 27/09 thru to 10/10.

MoH LE owners can play from 25/09.
Apparently the beta will appear as a download from the marketplace.

I played the Metro level on Saturday at the Eurogamer Expo and it does look good, cant wait for tomorrow now, wonder what time it will be available?

Looking forward to playing it and in a away I am glad its only 1 level as I can't see me spending too much time playing it before 10/10/11. I'm within touching distance of rank 50 on BC2 and reckon I can do it before full release.

We queued for just over an hour but it was the main and only reason i went to the show! Didnt bother queuing and getting the free Dog tags as they didnt look the same as they did in the pictures!

So youve nearly made it to level 50 eh, lucky sod! Im still a 44 but not given up yet and need to put some more hours in !

The controllers that we used were horrible third party ones that everyone seemed to hate and made the game hard to play. The frame rate was odd as well and made it quite wobbly we all thought too!?

I saw and liked Rage, Skyrim and the new Ace Combat which looked really nice!

I'm currently rank 48 but I've recently switched back to Rush from Conquest. A poor Rush game still equals a good conquest game in terms of scoring.
I reckon if I average 20k points per day I should make it even allowing for playing other games (BF3 beta and Forza demo early Oct).

It saddens me that this means so much to me at my age! Once I set myself a target thats it I cant let go!

Well, I've played the BF3 Alpha trial and I've just got my invite to d/l and install the Beta.

Will start playing soon, emails to my team mates so they can pick up their copy.

apparently the servers are horrible but yet again people forget the point of a beta!

Only the one map at the moment called 'Metro' another map called 'Caspian' remains locked.

For a 'beta' it's not too bad, but most of the servers are full, there are only 100 all told all 32player size. Easiest way to join is by using 'quick match'.
Friends side of the game isn't working at the moment.

Interesting that Caspian shows. Maybe that will be unlocked further into the beta.

I think Caspian is a vehicle heavy map similar to Bad Company 2's 'Heavy Metal'.
