Earlier I asked advice about the Nintendo Wii but i'm wondering now would it be better to get an X-box or Ps3 instead?

thing is there certain games only released only for ps3 or xbox. for example i have a ps3 and am very annoyed i cant play bioshock. but vibes has a xbox and can therefore annoy me with the fact he can play it.
it comes down to features and which games you want to play more than others.
personally i would say go for the ps3. i can give you reasons for and against it if you like. maybe vibes and do a fore and aginst for the xbox to help you decide which on to get?

Thanks for the answers Im torn between the wii for kids and girlfriend and the ps3 or X-box for me and one of the kids, maybe the wii and one of the others to make everyone happy is the answer.

You need a PS3 because one of the greated party games ever made is a PS3 exclusive. Three friends, some beer and 3 ps3 controllers and you're away!

Also, not since James Pond: Robocod has there been a stretching noise as enjoyable.

If you want on-line gaming then it has to be the 360, the others are just mere pretenders!

ok pros for ps3:

-better controller. (sorry bit it is!)
-surf the internet web pages which you cant do on xbox
- lots of memory, and is very quiet when its running.
- less chance of it breaking. xbox's break more often then ps3's.
- ps3 Home. which is an online chat world. you make a person and explore the ps3 world. you can walk the streets and go bowling, watch film trailers are the cinema. lots!
- sonic 4 is exclusive to ps3!
- online multiplayer, ill admit are easier to beat than xbox players. but i think thats a good thing :) but thats cause xbox players dont have a life (thats right vibes!)
- ps3 has free online where as xbox you pay £40 to sign up.
- you can play blue ray disks on it
- its got bluetooth so you can connect devices to it.
- you can play 4 player. (i think you can only do 2 player on xbox? if not my bad)
- i think that the ps3 has better exclusive games like inFAMOUS, god of war 3, metal gear solid, little big planet etc.
- you have playstation store. this si where you can download brilliant old games like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Bomber Man etc.
- the controller is rechargable so you dont have to keep buying batteries.
-more reliable
-more powerful
-HDMI
- actaully more games have been released on ps3 than xbox.

The multiplayer depends on the game.

Ideally you'd actually buy a PS2 and a copy of MicroMachines V4, a multitap and some controllers. That way you'll actually have some quality time with people in the same room!

Also, PS3 had the BBC iPlayer, which works very nicely I am told.

cons for ps3:

- the chat isnt as good as the xbox chat.
- sometimes surfing the internet can be slow. but i think thats my internet being bad.
- cant play halo or dead space :(

actually you know what? i love my ps3 lol im so happy i have it instead of an xbox.
maybe vibes can give you a list on why xbox is so good?
