Hi.Has any one any information on Thomas & Hannah Maddison who lived in Houghton le Spring from 1913-1927.Thanks.

I have found a marriage for a Thomas Maddison to Hannah Jane Robson in Dec Q 1905 Morpeth. In the 1911 Census Thomas was a coal miner/hewer, born 1881 Chester le Street. Hannah was born 1875 Sacriston. They have four children with them: Henrietta born 1898 Whorlton Newburn; Mary Annie born 1909; Isabella born 1910 Alnwick and Thomas, 1 month old born Penshaw.

Although Henrietta's surname is given as Maddison, she was born before the marriage, and in 1901 she was Henrietta Robson. Hannah Jane was at home with her parents John and Mary A Robson. Henrietta was stated to be daughter of John, but there was another daughter of the same age, so I'm not so sure. Could be Hannah's daughter.

There were possibly two more children: Frances I A Maddison birth registered Mar Q 1915 Hexham; and James birth registered Sep 1915 Durham. Seem a bit close together but a March Q registration could mean the actual birth was in the previous year, just not registered promptly.
