I use findmypast and used to be able to order certificates for £9-00 each though ONS via find my past. It's sometime since I have ordered one and cant find where or how to do it Can anyone enlighten me please. Many thanks in advance

That commercial website is very sneaky, O_G. While it may well have disclaimers telling you that it's not the 'official' website, it's clearly designed to look exactly like many pages on official 'gov.uk' sites.

Here's the site that Devadiva really needs (and which won't add on a totally unnecessary 'administration fee'):

Ah, that is particularly nasty then. I thought it was GRO so used Bing to search, and up comes this link with www.gov.uk in the address. That really should be illegal. Disclaimers be damned, that is clearly passing oneself as a governemnt site then. Probably should be covered under treason law.

The findmypast website used to be excellent but it has recently undergone alterations (improvements, they call it) and now it is hopeless. I won't be renewing my subscription when it expires.
