Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. How annoying - I have just looked up my Great Grandparents and can just see the start of a bracket in the infirmity column for my Great Grandfather. I believe that he was injured in a coal mining accident at some point, maybe that had something to do with this infirmity. He was 47 at the time of the census, he's not going to be alive now is he?!!!! Sorry - not really a question - I just needed to let off steam!
Hi there,
Anything missing from any Census is very annoying.
If you look here:~ http://www.1911census.co.uk/content/default.as px?r=24&111
Bootom right you will see shy the infirmity section for ALL the Census has been removed.
Apologies if you know this already!
Hi Spudqueen .... perhaps you local archive might have records about the mining incident and this might list the injuries and names of those injured perhaps? I bet you have already tried this. Just out of interest, it wasn't in the Midlands / Staffs was it?
