I'm reading a history mystery and in the book the protagonist is invited to look around the house of a lawyer .It's stacked to the gunnels with various artefacts statues ,paintings etc .It reminded me of a museum somewhere in London that was in a private house but I can't remember the name of it .It's bugging me :)
Any ideas as to what it's called ?

A'noon...hmmm, think I'll feel at home here. Might need to keep moving though. Is there anywhere I can get a cuppa please? I'll just find a seat and wait...
oh, like that is it, I see...

I love bread pudding too Neti, especially if there is a layer of crystallised sugar on the top. They sell it (home made) in our local garden centre, but I resist (probably because I always have their scrummy cheese scones which I like even better). I am now going to have a couple of crumpets - have eaten rubbish all day. Mr LL usually makes me a healthy lunch, so I am indulging myself whilst he isn't jere!!
Hello museum pieces ....I want you all to sit still while I go round with me feather duster.and make sure all fig leaves are in the right places .
Bread pud all gone Neti ,sorry .my brother's just waltzed out the door with it on a plate .
Not bad here today ,lovely and bright but breezy .Usual hospital .No change ,see you in three months .
I can't really remember now Robinia .She was booking herself in as Mrs Levenson to see Dr whatever his name was as Matthew came down the stairs .I think they just looked at one another and then it went to where they wre having a cuppa and she told him she'd had an operation .

Evening all I've finally caught up with all your postsd on the ole thread.
Talking about train sets my singing brother had one given to him which filled a bedroom where we lived. It was a big house and the room had a double bed and furningure which had to be taken out before it could be put in. You had to stand in then middle of it to operate it.
Also can somebody please tell me how I add a link on here of an item from the M & S site. I have a coat I would like to show you which I have just purchased.
I've forgotten how to do it.
I loved all the pasties and baking posts. I used to bake but haven't done so for years.
I had a great weekend especially going to watch The Rams who won 4 - 1 beating Blackpool. I even got a friend of mine to wear a DCFC hat even though not being a Rams Supporter :) Mind you it was very cold and dark.
I don't watch Downton but Fuschia does and she says it great but it never has interested me.I watch University Challenge and Only Connect on a Monday and not much else. Saturday it's Merlin and sometimes Casualty. Another programme I like and watch on my computer is Countdown which is on in the afternoons. Then of course, any excuse, it's sport.
I Hope Hija gets settled in the Hostel Neti nd her job goes down well.
Well I guess I better go and find somewhere in this museum to settle down - I hope there's a 4 poster knocking around somewhere with piles of covers - it's freezing here.
See yer later 'gater(s) Oight Oight!!

Hi Jude. Just go to the item and copy the address bar (http etc) then paste onto here. Glad you had a lovely weekend.
I think it's great that we all have different tastes in television programmes. The only sport I ever watch is F1, which was absolutely great yesterday - loads of action and crashes (noone hurt).
I didn't like Downton much and then got hooked.
I still love Corrie regardless of how silly it gets. Don't like any of the hospital things like Casualty or Holby City. Also enjoy a really good drama, 'Have I got news for you' and a few other programmes. And have to watch the news at 10.00pm even though it is always depressing.

arrrrgh i was typing an answer and it vanished. I like the paradise and downton and strictly but i also enjoy the weird US law and whodunnit programs on Universal. They are quirky and have good pacey stories and good jobbing actors....they also have loud background music which is handy for deadening the noise of fireworks.
I like any costume dramas ,murder mysteries, I sometimes watch the Chase and UC,some comedy progs .I like Universal too Woofy .Especially Law and Order and SVU .But I like factual stuff too ,history and so on .I just watched Nigel Slater on 4 in a programme about sweets .It was really good .
I watch too much teevee really but very rarely during the day .
Well I'm covering all the statues and artefacts for the night .You can whip your own dust sheets off in the morning .Oight Oight .
