I'm reading a history mystery and in the book the protagonist is invited to look around the house of a lawyer .It's stacked to the gunnels with various artefacts statues ,paintings etc .It reminded me of a museum somewhere in London that was in a private house but I can't remember the name of it .It's bugging me :)
Any ideas as to what it's called ?

Hija has broken her pinkie on her left hand and started work yesterday! She fell over a pavement slab, cos to be honest we have decent pavements here (where there are pavements) and one doesn't expect to fall over them! Sis in law is taking her to doctors or A&E.
Off to meet my friend for coffee. Her husband is the one with the catheter and he has been in hospital to have his prostate drained or something, will get the gist of it today!

Morning fusties...wet, windy and bloomin' chilly here too.
Hope it's a clear day in London!
Oh as long as there are moving pictures I'll watch anything on tv. :) Lots of comedy stuff, especially QI...diy/house makeovers/gardening... Eggheads, The Chase, soaps, costume dramas, the 'classics', mild murder stuff, Holby and Casualty (it's not all medical, I like the background stories, they're often quite tear jerking. I just love Henrik Hanssen the director of surgery in Holby, his cutting sarcasm has me in hysterics). I'm worryingly obsessed with Merlin. I think I get my money's worth from my license :)
Behave neti

I was inside the Shard on the 68th floor and taking photos through glass which had water trickling down it (i think it had been washed but not dried) so that spoiled some of my photos. There's a platform on the 72nd floor in the open air, where the tops of the pyramid sides stop but don't quite meet so there's open air at the corners where you can take pictures, but it wasn't open today as it is still being built. It was warm inside but I bet it's nippy up on the roof, and I hope oxygen masks fall down from somewhere.
Anyway it clouded over but here are some pictures

Hope those work.
Neti, that doesn't actually look broken, does it? It's straighter than mine are. Maybe she's just sprained it, if you can have sprained fingers.

I want the room to be vaguely seaside nautical so the walls are going to be very pale greeny bluey grey with aqua bedding. I have an old gateleg table, a mirror and a small chest of drawers that I am going to paint a darker greeny bluey grey and finish to look a bit worn. Sis is my partner in crime with all this.

apparently you can see Windsor Castle from up there. Not today though. Rather a shame as it was bright and clear earlier in the morning.
Last time I was in a high building it was Tower 42 a couple of weeks ago, the former NatWest tower, which is the big blackish one in the middle of the photo. (Only on the 24th floor or so, though.) But that day was really murky and I could hardly even see the Shard, and that takes some missing.

Oh jno, they're fantastic pics. I take it you don't suffer from vertigo. I'm not sure whether I'd like it up there or not...it's a bit late to find out when you come to with a crowd of tutting tourists.
I love that woofy, I like multi functional furniture....I slightly misread jno's comment about sailors :)
