Not really a question, just an observation.Tomorrow would be old Schicklegrubers birthday.Along with Uncle Joe and "great leap forward"Mao all were nationalists and socialists.Perhaps there is a case for capitalism after all.

jimF //All dogs have four legs. My cat has four legs. My cat is a dog.// This is not a logical statement, because for one thing, not all dogs have 4 legs ( I know of a dog with 3) A logical statement might be; All dogs are canines Some cats are canines therefore some cats are dogs

There's also a case for finding something better.

All hail the Star Trek Federation.
All dogs have four legs.
My cat has four legs.
My cat is a dog.
my dog was born in a stable
therefore he must be a horse
What do you know about the "great leap forward" ynnafymmi ?
Question Author
It involved the mass starvation of millions of working class people in the name of socialism and nationalism, perhaps?
How have you lumped Moa in with those two?

on balance, Mao did more good than harm
I think there is a definite case for strong democracy.
Roy...this post popped up....if the book is true what was on the other side of the balance? https://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Arts-and-Literature/Books-and-Authors/Question818341.html
Question Author
Huh,Roy.Some would say Mao murdered more people than Hitler and Stalin combined. This anus made even PolPot and the IRA look people friendly. For Funks Sake.
Yes whatever you think of the question, the idea that Mao “did more good than harm” is an interesting one.
Question Author
"interesting" doesnt even cover it,Ich.Hopefully he was being sarcastic.
"The Nazis were left-wing socialists. Yes, the National Socialist Workers Party of Germany, otherwise known as the Nazi Party, was indeed socialist and it had a lot in common with the modern left. Hitler preached class warfare, agitating the working class to resist “exploitation” by capitalists , particularly Jewish capitalists, of course. Their programs called for the nationalization of education, health care, transportation, and other major industries. They instituted and vigorously enforced a strict gun control regimen. They encouraged pornography, illegitimacy, and abortion, and they denounced Christians as right-wing fanatics. Yet a popular myth persists that the Nazis themselves were right-wing extremists. This insidious lie biases the entire political landscape today." - if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck.......
the abacus is a big fan of Mao:

Question Author
Yes,interesting Tora.It seems right-wing socialists such as the IRA and Hitler seem to be a lot less murderous than the left-wing socialists, and that is saying something.
Mao and Stalin both created industrial giants out of peasant societies in half a century or so, and Stalin had to do it while losing something like 25m people during the war. Those are considerable feats whatever you think of the methods.
""The Nazis were left-wing socialists."

The inculcator reiterates. Got to hammer the narrative home, eh 3T.

You missed an oppurtunity here -----

If you’d‘ve put a question mark after the OP I’d’ve said Diddly’s and Gulliver’s heroes.
Question Author
You make Stalins purges and Maos engineered mass famine sound like a nice day out, jno.Socialists are supposed to be on the workers side, not murder them in their millions.Jesus wept.
"right-wing socialists"

Would they be classed as un-American or anti-American ?
