Three months after her birth in May 1819, another baby was born, this time a boy whose father was brother of the Duchess of Kent. This was his second son, named Albert, who would become Victoria's husband, Prince Albert. So these two were first cousins, their parents being brother and sister.

I didn’t read the OP properly at first and thought the children’s (shared) parents were brother and sister. That would have been shocking, but first cousins not so much.

Perfectly legal and normal, but I can’t imagine so intimate with any of my cousins.
When I was 8 I was sure that I was going to marry my first cousin. She was 18. Happy days
ze leedol Mozart when picked up by Marie Antoinette said
Madame, je vous epouserai quand je serai homme

Darwin was worried about marrying his cousin ( the kids didnt do much even tho ) and looked at Wranglers and if their parents were cousins and it didnt matter
and looked at oarsmen in the blue boats and if their parents were related and it didnt seem to matter

so he did - Darwin married his cousin

D was so shocked as his eldest's lack of zu-zu that he concluded it had been beaten out of him so took him out of Rugby and sent him to the local grammar

and his heart was broken by the death of Annie ( aged 10, TB)
well my dears - where did Victoria get that Dreaded Gene from ( " this disease is NOT in our family", It was)

well after the Triple Tragedy ( any one who reads should see above) - George IV was a no hoper as a Dad so it fell to the other ( four I think) to produce an heir ( presumptive) . And so they put away their mistresses ( boys galore) and married. Duka kent won - and had a girl - BUT he was 51 and died the next year 1820

and HIS X gene is meant to be the one ( old see?)
