I think John, in his answer above, has mistaken the ideas of 'creating' democracy and 'influencing' it. Of course Locke influenced democracy. I'd suggest you do a Google search using the words Locke+democracy in the search-slot. Click here for one useful web-page, but there are many more.

I did think your response a trifle odd, John, I must say! I even wondered whether it was tongue in cheek, so sorry for butting in.
sometimes when greenies turn up here with their homework questions it is nice to see if they ever return to their thread. They mostly don't, but johnlambert is always the optimistic type
