Help with finding a reference

Hello, I am looking for a reference to a quote i found in a magazine (who were decidedly unhelpfull when asked for information so will remain nameless!) the quote is from an 1881 Cassell's Family Magazine. The actual qoute reads “To bring about a general feeling of enjoyment, much depends on the surroundings... It is worth while to bestow some little trouble on the decorations of the rooms.” The proplem is it doesnt say which actual magazine it is, as by this time it was published monthly. There is no article title or author either. I have just spent a very frustrating day loking on the internet and can only come up with the same quote in one other article, also not referenced. Is there anyone out there that can help please? i just dont know where else to look.

You need to be able to access the archive of the magazine in question, which may be physical and in the company's ownership, rather than publicly and freely accessible.
Some publications such as the Illustrated London News are widely available in publicly available archives, but individual companies will differ.
For example the Lancashirte Archives at preston have an almost complete run of the ILN but it is not (yet) digitised.

Lord Beaconsfield was Disraeli wasn't he? Cos Beaconsfield Corner in Ormskirk,(the town where I grew up), has a statue of Disraeli in the middle of the road, and I seem to have always associated the two names,.

Hang on, I've ust googled it and the statue has been moved over the railway bridge to the start of Moor Street!!! That's ridicilous!!! When did they do that?
