We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....
In the meantime is there some sort of waterproof tape that I can buy to shore up this gap pro tem.

woohoo, my Book has arrived! I wrote up all my family history, everything I know about my ancestors back to 1672, arranged it on PDFs with photos and marriage records and stuff and turned it into a 68-page A4-size book, which Lulu have now printed and I got my first copy in the mail this morning!

I'll have a good read to see if it's the way I wanted it (it looks okay at first glance except some of the photos are a bit grey) and then order more copies for other family members. Only about £3 each but more than that for the postage.
hello all. Went out early with the boys this morning to miss the bottlebank noises which scare Rab. Thank you for the support yesterday, I feel much better today. Onward and upward. The weather is quite changeable today and the dogs are restless but ok. wouldn't mind some more no thundery rain as the garden is so dry.
I've given up, I type long posts and they do not appear.
Neti has your tablet got a notepad, or even use an email. Type your post and save it then copy paste it into AB.
A good day today, did stuff.

Ooh that sounds lovely Jno .You must have put a lot of work into that .
Will we see you on the best sellers list soon :)
I did very little stuff today ,total lollabout tennis watching and well done Andy .
There have been flash floods up the coast in Hemsby and surrounding areas The broads lifeboat was sailing down the main road getting people to safety We had heavy downpours but I didn't have to get any rowing boats or wellies out thank goodness .
Strange how the weather varies in just a distance of a few miles .
sorry jno, read your post, thought oh thats so amazing then totally left it put of my post. 3 quid a copy is pretty good value. Make sure you sign and number them all!

I just realised all my washing was still in the machine so I've had to drape it on the airer .That just shows how lazy I've been today.
Game set and match from me ..Oight all ,sleep toight .
I have gone through the book, redone the muddiest photos, corrected a few typos (I managed to get the date of my father's death wrong), republished it and ordered another one. Hopefully it will arrive before we set forth on our hols late next week.

It's amazing what you can do... I have a few old family histories I've worked from, but they were done in the 80s and 90s and they're basically grubby typescripts with crossings out and corrections, photocopied and stapled together. And now I can put it all together online into something resembling a proper book. (You can't get hard covers with only 68 pages, though.)

I am feeling really quite pleased with myself. Things to do with modern technology are always a challenge since jno jnr left home and neither of his parents has much talent for keeping up with change.
morning all. the weather started coming over at 6 so i was made to get up early. its going to be a long day.
Good morning, my tablet doesn't like AB.

Woofy how do I copy n paste without a touchpad or mouse?

last night was disappointing, mostly jazz which I like but wanted more rock n roll and it was rather chilly. Fish n chips were lovely.

Dogs are still dozing then twitchy as the weather fronts pass through, can't see me getting much done today. Happily because it was forecast, they have had their med which helps a lot
Afternoon each and every! Been trailing round yet another car boot sale but am running out of cash, and have to pay (willingly! I might add) £40 excess baggage. Taking back a sky hd+box, toaster and new iron plus all the other rubbish I have bought.

It's still very hot here again, so nice.
Have been packing my suitcase, gosh it's bulging, as am I now!

slept very well last night but am tired again today!
same old same old except we've had rain with the blackness now. Dogs seem to be finally settling.
Woofy, thanks for that link, I have bookmarked it.
you are welcome Neti. We had steak and chips for dinner.
Just had a delicious King Prawn dhansak curry, oooh love it.
pouring with rain for half the day, save me getting out the watering can. Always look on the bright side!
peace and silence here...oight oight all
Good morning a lovely fresh day here after the rain. My garden has had a good watering.
Thanks for the comments about my bird table. I think it was an old chimney pot. I have another one with a rose in. The poppies are everywhere and I will bring you some seeds Robi.
Going for a walk today. Just a local one then tomorrow I'm off to do the final leg of the Nomad Way round Derby.
Hope you're all well and you have a good day. Se yer later gater(s)
