Some sort of waterproof tape ..

We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....
In the meantime is there some sort of waterproof tape that I can buy to shore up this gap pro tem.

Been playing with a 3yr old at coffee, he is so sweet but very bad at talking, kept cuddling me aw I love him, miss being a teacher but haven't the energy now.

Have sent Mr N to the bedroom, I am not staying in there again today! I need sympathy my eye is weeping and sore and itching like crazy and nostril is overflowing! I'm sure it's because of this spot/ tiny mole thing.

damned hornets are stilling trying to make a nest, I have sprayed them and then they flew out, I ran.

It was lovely on the prom pom pom .It was hotter than forecast but clouded up now .
We had crab salads and sat along the seafront for a while and watched the children sailing their remote control boats on the yacht pond .Well ,the grown ups were doing all the sailing ,the littlies were hardly getting a look in . Boys and toys .
Loads of people on the beach .

the heatwave went on till luncthtime then stopped with a T-storm, so I managed to scrounge a couple of hours of light sleep, which is probably just enough to stop me kmarting again for the rest of the day. Saves watering the garden. In fact I made sure it rained by spraying some weeds an hour before.

looks like it's special south-east rain, which we don't share, on account of we get it specially carbonated and it arrives with delicate fruit flavours; sorry. I'm sure there'll be a healthy northern monsoon along any day.

Evening everyone. Been sorting my train trip to Devon to spend a day with Steadier and his wife. I'm staying at a bed and breakfast the night before because doing it all in one day is very tiring.
The weather her is just as Robi says. My garden is desperate too. I'm loathe to use my hose pipe as I'm on a water metre! But I do give my pots a bit of a shower.
When I'd had my dinner I went off for a walk as it was getting cooler and there was a bit of a breeze. I was out for about an hour. Walked down to a local park with a lake which has loads of geese and ducks then I did a circular walk back home. I really was pleased I took a bottle of water with me and that I went. I get 'withdrawal symptoms' when I don't walk.
Neti hope Mr N 's face gets better quickly. Should do now on anti-bis.
When I went walking I left the kitchen in a right mess and a pile of pots soaking in the sink so I'mgoing to get cracking on that.
