Repair To Stone Windowsill
My old house has stone windowsills, and one of them has a large horizontal crack. Is it better to fill it with some kind of masonry filler, or with an expanding adhesive like Gorilla? Thanks for any advice.

Have a look here Caz. Do you know if the cill is sand or limestone?

If it has been painted but is a greyish or light tan under the paint it will probably be limestone. Sandstone does not lend itself to painting. Some cills are granite but that is rare as granite is load bearing and expensive so not used for cills and door thresholds and the like. The product I linked you to would probably do the job, but it is a big tub for one small repair.
