Hot water

We have a combi boiler but when you turn the hot tap on it takes a while for the hot water to come through and then only lasts about a minute before going cold again. What is the problem? Many thanks

First thing i would check is the thermistor and also if it has not been serviced in the last twelve months then it needs one asap.

Hi Had a similar problem with a Worester Boiler and it turned out to be the heat exchanger. This was silted up as the system had not been flushed when the new boiler was put in.
The central heating was AOK, it was just the hot water. The pressure was there but after about 30 seconds the water went cold.
Mine was changed on the guarantee and it took about an hour. Rgds Al
