We've been given an extractor [vented to outside wall] hood. Outside diameter [top of hood] is 6 inches across. Does it matter if we go for a round hose or a flat trunking. Can you get a 6" to flat adaptor? Thanks

Are you sure the diameter is 6''... it just seems larger than normal .... the adapters are available though.

Most extractors made to fit into a 4" diameter pipe .. like 4" waste cut to length. I woulkd think it is missing an adapter.

Alavahalf - I'm going by the external diameter on the top. One way valve in a metal collar. Trunking would need to fit over this?

the white plastic bit is a one-way valve/flap, this sits inside a collar [coming through from the underside] that is 6 inches across. Hope that helps. Thanks
As AlBags says ...you are missing an adapter... try this...
