I've got a small Hammerite spillage on my asphalted front steps. We blotted it but it spread a bit with rubbing, it dried and now it's raining. Will Hammerite thinners help remove the stain? (I haven't got any, only white spirit at the moment which is not good for Hammerite). I have googled but can't see anything specific for an asphalted surface.

Once hammerite dries .. there's little to remove the stain. It will have stained the filler in the ashphalt.
Thinners (Standard thinners incl) may dissolve some of the tar and colour it down a bit tho. Try a little bit.
You could just paint over the area with black paint to hide the hammerite, whatever colour that is! Thinners will alo dissolve the ashphalt, be carefull.
