Do you think the wall mounted key safes, outside a front door, are safe or could they be easily broken into?

they are reasonably safe. You could always put it low down and hide it with a plant
My Grandad has one. My son recently figured out that you could put in the security code in any combination and it would work.

as in

1 2 3 4

4 3 2 1

Etc.....

That can be a bit noisy though Dox XXXX
Show off - tell all you have goods worth nikking !
Or that you're disabled and can't answer the door...
Part of my job is fitting keysafes for various associations and schemes...

If I have to force an entry into a house, and I see a '' Supra keysafe'' outside the front door... I ignore the keysafe and carry on to open the front or back door with whatever means are required, then usually replacing the lock or cylinder afterwards.
It is much easier to open a locked door than it is to open the keysafes that I regularly fit ... there are many cheaper keysafes available, but dont even think about them.
Have a look at these ... They are the only manufacturer that local authorities use.

I can assure you if someone comes prepared to break in to to your house ... you wont stop them. If you have a crow bar or a garden spade you can open almost any door or window.
I have seen someone let loose on one of these keysafes at a product demonstration ... he was dead sure that he could open it with a lump hammer and a crowbar ... he did manage to get it off the wall ... but he could'nt open it.
Certainly not after he took a lump out of his shin, and got carted off to casualty.

Remember the cheaper ones can be forced open, but if you are prepared to open a key safe then most doors should not cause a problem.
So yes I have got one ... and yes I trust it 100%.

Once he had it off the wall, he could take it back home and crack into it at his leisure. Meanwhile, you have to change all your locks (assuming you can get back in your house).
This is the one my Dad's got. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but it's been there about 18 months with no problems at all.

Anyone with one of these must have something to protect. It's a green light to a burglar.
''A green light to a burglar ''......... I suppose it is ..?

Have a look up your street, most houses have a satellite dish. Attached to each dish is a TV .... so your dish is also a green light telling the burglar you have a TV to pinch.

Everyone who has a front door has something to protect ...!
Most houses have a TV. Very few have wall mounted key safes to offer further protection.

No Diggity - Blackstreet
Argh! I've done it again. Ignore that last post.
Too many people Doc. He has carers in the morning and afternoon. My cousin lives with him. Nan gets taken to see him 3 times a week minimum. My Uncle does his shopping on a Saturday. My other Uncle cooks his dinner on a Sunday. Then between me and the other cousins....that would just be too many keys.
