stag beetles

I understand they are protected species, but a large nest found in my daughters garden under a big conifer are a real nuisance, anyone know if the council would come and take them away, thanks

I didn't know they were protected, in that case can't you just collect them all up and relocate them to somewhere else.

are you sure they are stag beetles? If so try contacting this group - they may help in rehoming them
