I now have all my bags and containers of potatoes at my new place... hooray! However, in the last few days, I've noticed that the Roosters suddenly look a bit floppy. Just before I moved them, they were really healthy looking and the stalks and leaves shot straight up. They even had little flowers on the top.
I've just been out to have a look at them, and it's got much worse. The stalks are all hanging over, and some of the leaves just look dead.
Is this normal, are they now ready to harvest... or did the stress of moving house kill them?

Pleanty of water and some plant feed or tomato feed, As They grow bigger they use a lot of water and more of the goodness in the soil/compost. If there in the sun a lot you will have to water them most evenings. The leaves start to flop mainly because of lack of water and/or food. If they have been moved from a different location, maybe they are getting more wind or more sun on them that can cause them to flop as the change of enviroment. If this is the case they may well take a few days or so to pick up again and get used to the new enviroment.

Thanks Rav1d. I have just been out and given them loads of water and some plant feed too. They really don't look good at all.
Is there any chance this could actually mean they are ready, rather than them being dead or on their way out?
Just lift one and see whats going on. Have already eaten mine and they were old potatoes that had started sprouting chucked in a bit of soil in a bucket.

Ok, I will do that. Thank-you :)
If the plant has flowed all ready and the lower branches, leafs are going yellowish and flopping then the potatoes should be ready to dig out.
