Fox glove tree ( Pawnlonia )
I have a fox glove tree and last year towards the end of summer all the leaves
developed black spots which got bigger and the leaves fell off. This year they are back but it is only JUNE . Is this a virus ?

Thank that was most informative. As a tree it is most unusual , it's more bamboo like and has hollow stems and does grow several feet every year . However it can be cut down to any height , even down to ground level and it will regrow . So it can be a bush , a hedge or a full sized tree. The leaves can be up to a foot across and the flowers ( I haven't had any yet ) appear before the leaves . I believe it grows best in hotter parts of the world so maybe our climate may keep it in check but
