Can you tell me if its too early to plant pansies outside in pots? There seem to be quite a few on sale at the moment but my husband deterred me yesterday from getting any but i'm still tempted as would love to have some colour on the patio.

Pansies are very hardy and can survive snow and freezing temperatures.

Go for it!
Even here in the frozen north I had them in hanging baskets in January. They've perked up a bit since the temperature has risen though.
they should be fine!........doubt we'll get frost now, and if so, they'll recover well!............
no probs and the coloured primulars are nice too and the little pink and red pom pom daisies...
They might get checked by the odd frost but they'll soon perk up, plant away!
