deadheading pansies

does deadheading pansies make them flower more, as with geraniums? we planted about 70 pansies in our filled-in pond which had sprung a leak, and they looked really nice. however, they're looking a bit overblown now and i was wondering what the recommendation is for deadheading. thank you.

Sure... go ahead and agressively deadhead the spent blooms and while you're at it, snip or pinch off yellowed or damaged leaves. Pinch off the spent bloom as far down the bloom shaft as you can...
