BEWARE!!!
Do not order anything from Gardening Direct.co.uk..... I placed an order at the beginning of May and have still to receive my order (18th June). I have tried phoning the company unpteen times, but have given up after being in a 'queue' for over 10 minutes. Have also emailed but always receive an auto response but never a proper reply. can't afford to lose over £20 this way. Don't order ANYTHING from this company. Its just a scam.

I know it takes a while for the order to come but it depends on what you have ordered. Is it summer plants or autumn one.? The esnd them our in time for you to plant time on. so if you order too early they wiat until it is time to post and plant on.
That may be so, but their customer relations seem appalling from what LL describes. (Not that they are the only ones. I ought to check the company I bought from a couple of years back. I'd have been grateful for only being in the queue for 10 minutes, was often 45 or more and then sometimes the line would go dead.)
I have used them for several years. They used to be excellent but they have really gone downhill this year! Their Customer Service is appalling, I sent for some trailing begonias as usual but they all had grey mould and started dying one by one. I waited a couple of weeks to see if any recovered but as they didn't I emailed the company, I never received a reply so tried ringing and got the same response as LL. They replied to my third email saying I had left it too long to complain so there would be no replacement plants! Needless to say they have now lost a regular customer ................Avoid like the plague!
There was actually a blog set up about these people some Years ago! ... Warning people off... I unfortunately didn't see it in time...It was only after I found out their registered adress and threatened to get in touch with everyone who was complaining about them and go to this adress en masse that Lo and Behold I got a phone call from them telling me my plants were on their way (after weeks of waiting and phone messages that were never answered) And they're still rubbish apparently ...I got a hydrangea that was literally a cutting and had a fungal disease (£14.99)I could have bought a full sized one anywhere for that price - and it was supposed to be red (that never happened) a Brugmansia (that died) complete with Slug and a wisteria which I am please to say is still going strong...Some people had ordered trees and spent hundreds and were still waiting...Everyone said the same it was either they never answered the phone or messages and when stuff came after waiting for weeks quite often plants were dead or dying...
