We have this bush in the garden .When it comes into bloom it looks glorious and it's just starting now .However I have no idea what it is . It was here when we moved in nearly nine years ago .
Any offers ?

I can see why you would be....are you backed up or should I not ask?
Oh dear, this isn't good news week is it?
I think so, woofy. I have an auto-backup program that updates everything on the entire computer every Friday night.... except I now discover it hasn't been doing it to the family tree for some reason. However, the family tree program itself backs up regularly, and I can get into that bit of it, so I've copied what I hope is the latest version, from a couple of weeks ago, onto a CD. I'm scared to look at it, in case it opens with the software from the corrupt version and is corrupted itself. I'd do it on OH's computer except it turns out this doesn't have a CD drive... gah.

I'vve had a nurofen and a cocodamol and still my jaw is throbbing, so I suppose I should go out and get some opium from somewhere.

I've emailed the support people at the program maker and they'' get back to me in a couple of business days, so we'll see.

My jaw is sore still and a throbby head. Absolutely no energy, hate feeling like this just doing necessary things. So dark and wet here and I love it. Dried bedding in tumble drier. Still needs iroing!!
Cooking liver, bacon, etc for MrN but not pots sonhell have to have frozen pot skins. I'm having hash browns, sausage, bacon and fried egg, yummy!!
Good morning from a cold and dull Derbyshire. Strange atmosphere too, I've got a funny feeling....

Hope all your feelings are less painful.

its just about still morning here, the first proper autumn morning we have had...chilly, a but misty and very still. Dogs are snoring and its roast chicken for dinner.
Afternoon. Terrible storms in the night, and the lower villages have been flooded, with water up to the middle of car windows. We are on a hill and protected luckily. Leccy kept banging off and twice my bedside lamp broke but its OK today. Did shopping but not enough energy to go out for coffee. I have put summer duvets on beds and polished the brass. Connected fire flame insert so now all ready for the cold evenings. In the night I used the loo without putting on the light as saw a huge black thing on the wall so rushed out until Mr N could battle it. It was a snail!!!
ugh, snails in the loo, maybe you need indoor plumbing?
takes me back to my childhood, we used to get woodlice (pill bugs) in ours

Hello all
Bright and sunny atm but that could change as it's black skies out to sea.
It's disaster week here.Ordered a black forest birthday cake from the bakery. Paid for it ,£10 ,enough for six people.Went to collect it and they had sent one for 16 people and wanted £22.I checked and double checked with the assistant when I ordered as she did seem a bit dozy.
We would have been eating it until Christmas. Got my money back and went and bought one in Morrisons .I'm really, really annoyed .
Hope you're all ok though.
Yes shaney that is so annoying. My birthday cake was a Victorian sponge from £1 land. I love them.
Went in pool but itbis freezing and I am sweating!
that is annoying when people get things wrong because no second chance.
our German friends have invited us to their pre-Christmas party, to which we are asked to bring books, videos etc to sell to each otehr for charity. I immediately sat down to watch a DVD that I could donate and of course the DVD player packed up. I am now trying to use an old one we never threw away. Halfway through Bridge of Spies and having an unofficial intermission. I don't think I'll bother with a swim this evening.
I passed on mine too Jno, too many leaves in the pool
Morning all. Yes all garden furniture is going in the pool today, clean it up amazingly and all the nooks and crannies. Then it will be emptied.
Hope you are all fine. Hope mouth is healing jno.
Mr N and I walked along the seafront, it's very warm, then went to a different place for lynch. Really nice. I had duck breast in a delicious red berry sauce, was so nice. And a avocado Mexican salad to start. And fizzy water. Then had another swim in pool.
I cleaned the front windows where they were spattered with fly spray. Used guaranteed not to smear wipe thingies ha ha ha...they have just moved the dirt around.
throbbing socket-where-tooth-used-to-be kept me awake all night, so I dialled 111 and they arranged a dentist appointment somewhere near the runway at Heathrow. But the dentist said it wasn't infected (which is good news), just battered from the extraction, so I just have to keep on with the painkillers till it goes away. But they aren't working for as long as they did yesterday.

Jno mine still throbs occasionally, am wondering if there some root still inside as she took forever. She did xray it 3 x to make sure.
Amazingly have an app for mexico tomorrow as feel so low and hips are screaming ( to borrow shaney's phrase,) can hardly walk.
