Sharp Sand

We have some sharp sand left over from a job and was thinking of spreading it on the lawn I seem to remember it being done some years ago,

Aerate your lawn first with a garden fork, spread sand over then brush in with a hard brush. Improves growth.

Personally I wouldn't use it on your lawn (or mine come to that). It's possibly full of impurities.
My advice would be to use 'Horticultural Lawn sand' or silver sand that has been cleaned for garden use
