Painting Pots

Have just painted a plant pot with a sample pot of emulsion paint and want to hang it outside. It looks very pretty but it has just started raining and its made me wonder if it will wash off in the rain. The pot was a very dirty white plastic one.

Paint doesn't always stick to plastic very well, unless you have sandpapered the surface first.

Thanks that what I thought will leave it out to see before putting it in front don't want the neighbours laughing !!!
