Slug Bells
Has anyone had experience of using these?
Will they save my hostas next year because copper bands and grit didn't this year!
Thank you

It does work... smells vaguely of beer which does work to entice the critters when placed in shallow foam bowls near the base of the plants. But, again, it depends on how aggressive one wants to be to keep it replenished and keep Fido out of it...
Save all your egg shells and put them around the base of your Hostas, the little blighters don't like slithering over the pointy bits. If your Hosta is up against a wall then pull it away coz they crawl up the wall and lean across, also I found that going in my garden after dark with a torch I catch the little horrors red handed, I scoop them onto a shovel and pout liberal amount of salt on them, they don't like that very much.....sorted.
