Re Doing Lawn Edges With Half Moon Edger

Hi, can anyone tell me if there is a tool/implement that I can use to keep my edges straight whilst I am cutting them. Years ago I seem to remember seeing something in a D.I.Y shop. I made a makeshift straight edge from 2 bamboo canes and some garden twine but it wasn't strong enough! Thanks
P.S I know about the trick of using a wood plank, but that can move.

If you stand on the plank, it won't move...

Get a proper builder's line with strong string...that should do the trick.

If you find that the board is moving, simply drill a hole near each end so that you can push a large nail through.

Yes I have just bought myself another Half Moon Edger from the garden center, my old one has broken. They are different prices so you can choose which one you think best.
