Our canes are 4 years old or less. Last Summer we had a fantastic crop but at the moment we can see no signs of new growth. In the past the new growth has been visible at the end of the season. Has anyone else experienced problems, we're in Norfolk and haven't had much snow, just been cold the last couple of weeks.
Same here ... as a rule when I cut mine down (December) you can usually see the new growth appearing. But this time not a green top was showing. Not unduly worried, will wait and see. (These were planted 18 months ago ).
Mime are about the same with very little signs of new growth as yet.
I think they are just keeping their heads down at the mo til the weather warms up a little.
Hopefully you'll see some developments towards the end of the month.
Good Luck. Chip.

Thanks for that zebo ... I know what you mean, I 've been off work for seven months now. Just got a new knee a couple of days ago, so it wont be long before I'm back on the allotment !
That's nature for you, we cant control it. The best thing I did last year was build a polytunnel, that has extended the season at both ends. We are still producing spring onoins and turnips indoors that were started in september.
