Foreign Slugs

I guess a spot of salt on them will finish them off as it does normal ones. Can't use pellets as I have a dog who loves to sniff flowers etc.so just chuck salt on as they appear.

I really dont like the salt treatment, they must suffer immensely!! A horrible death, can you imagine having all the moisture sucked out of your body while are are still alive, just watch how the slug squirms!!

Far simpler to take them to a patch of waste land.

You might also like to try copper wire, as a deterrent around plants, as it carries a small amount of electrical charge.
You can now also buy special copper tape to stick round pots etc.

I've seen quite a lot in the press lately about the monster "Spanish slugs" and I'm ready for em. ;-)

Have you thought about a beer trap?
Sink a receptacle half filled with beer into the ground. The slugs will make a beeline for it....and die a very happy death
