I would like some advice as to what to put as a low border edging between our garden and our neighbours it gets sun in the early morning but loses it by lunchtime in mid summer. I did have lavender hedging for 2 years but it has failed to sprout this year so I have removed it. Would like to have something with a bit of colour and not growing too high if possible, any ideas would be very welcome.
Have had a border hedge of lavender in the back garden for 5 years and that has already started healthy new growth but does get sun practically all day
hardy fuchsia (magelanica) lovely flowers, hard as nails, loved by bees and very prunable once established. There is a golden leaved version (aurea) a white flowered one, Hawkshead, my absolute favourite and a slightly less hardy pale pink called Knight’s Pearl.
