Last year I had trouble as well .. I scattered about 50 seeds in a tray and sure enough I had loads germinate and develop into seedlings. When I potted them on all of a sudden most of them gave up and I was left with about 5-6. These carried on growing and supplied me with much more parsley than I could wish for. Give the parsley seeds a chance .. I covered mine with cling film to keep the moisture in and when a few seeds showed their heads, just remove the film and dont let them dry out.
Pot them on 3 at a time into 5" pots and before you know it, you will be overun with parsley.
Nearly all my climbing beans have been put in the ground tonight.
