Growing Patchouli, Ever Tried It?

I am tempted to try growing Patchouli, has anybody here any experience of growing it?

Chipchopper

I've not grown it at all but it seems to be a plant of a great many medicinal virtues, as well as unique fragrance.
As it is a member of the mint family, I would expect it to be a robust and vigorous plant, that may need containing.
The first thing that I would consider is, would it be hardy enough to grow outside in the UK.
Interesting but the lemon balm tea does it for me.

Thanks Chipchopper, its the unique fragrance that attracts me, I used to wear patchouli oil all the time in my younger days and I still wear it now in my beard oils and balms.
