Some weeks ago, I bought a couple of what I thought was sweet pepper plants, which had a label depicting the familiar rounded fruits.
They have now produced several tiny peppers on each plant but they are all the long, thin pointed type.
I guess I'll just have to wait and see, what they'l turn out to be, hot or sweet ?.
Pointy ones are not necessarily hot. I'm growing Romano peppers, which are pointy but they taste very similar to the traditional bell peppers you're used to.

Thanks guys.
In the back of my mind, I seem to have remembered that some pointy varieties can be sweet and cool. AK Mild, thanks for refreshing my memory!.
Whether its a label mix up, we'l just have to wait and see.
Have 12 growing at the moment all are the large pointed ones, but they are all the sweet variety. They are just the same as the packet of three colours that you get from the supermarket .. only tastier, not hot at all. I will freeze them and use them through out the winter.
