Does Miracle grow actually work?

Is it true that it doubles the size of plants, compared to that of just plain water?

There seems to be many different forms such as tablets, liquid, and even compost.
Which gives the best results?

Yes it does work. It wont double the size of all plants but is very good for bedding plants. Different forms work for different types of planting but I find liquid the best as it is more instant and controlled.
I'll second Hawkwalks answer, i've used it for years, but like all fertiizers, if your spraying, don't do it in the Sun.

Thanks for your feedback!!

Lonnie, I am interested in knowing why it should not be done in the sun? However will follow your advice.
If you water plants in the sun they burn! Obviously the sun magnifies thru the water and causes damage to your plants, best to water early morning or evening
