Which is the best way to clean gravel?

I have a lot of small coloured gravel on my garden which has gone a horrible colour due to the weather etc over the past year or two. What is the best way to clean it all up and what would you use.

Dead easy.
Just shovel it into a garden riddle a bit at time and power wash it. I'll have a lot of slate chippings to do shorly and its the only way.

If the gravel is not too near edible plants and no run off would go near them I would try a solution of jeyes fluid. However I agree power washing should solve the problem. For further gardening hints please go to www.egrow.co.uk
