If I buy a pot which measures 320 mm in diameter and is 240 mm in height, how much soil would I need to buy to fill it.
I know this might be in the wrong category, but thank you.

you both miss the point. What I am trying to find out is the volume of a cylinder of these dimensions. and how much soil, water, Guinness, etc. would be needed to fill it. The question is hypothetical.
22/7 (Pi) x 0.16 x 0.16 x 0.24 = litres
..sorry.....

22/7 (Pi) x 0.16 x 0.16 x 0.24 x 1000 = litres

pi ( 3.14) x 16^ 2 x 24 = 19.292 cu cm / 1000 = 1.9 litres
AND a litre of water's
a pint and 3/4............. so about 3 1/4 pint .....does that sound right????
