Shrub Identification
Could someone please help me identify a shrub, please?
Dark green leaves much larger than the white flowers which are like tiny bells on individual stalks off the leaf stalks. Extremely fragrant, particularly in early evenings.
Seen in south of France a couple of weeks ago. I have a photo but can't see how to post it on here.
Any suggestions welcome.

it is an Elaeagnus x ebbingei. Usually used in the Uk as a hedge or shrub and not known especially for its flowers.
