Tea bag liquid fertiliser

I've heard somewhere that you can make a liquid feed from used tea bags. I've got a bucketful of them soaking in water, but don't know what to do. Is the liquid any good for my veg? Does it need to be diluted before application? I normally put the used bags on the compost heap, but don't know if they have other uses.

I've friends that use the tea bags in their compost, but they all caution about removing the little staple holding the string thingy to the bag... I'm not sure why though...

I suspect the main benefit of used tea bags is as a soil conditioner so putting them on the compost heap is as good an idea. Now if you have got a clump of nettles you can really get going........!!

I usually empty the contents of tea bags around camelias, azaleas etc. Camelias are of the tea family and I've read somewhere that the tea bags or fresh tea leaves are an excellent compost for them.
